Because language barriers are often a main obstacle to participating in European mobility, OLS makes language preparation accessible and flexible, helping participants gain confidence in the language they will use to study, work, or volunteer.<\/p><h5><strong>Who Can Benefit?<\/strong><\/h5><p>OLS is open to participants across several mobility sectors:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Higher Education<\/strong> students and staff<\/li><li><strong>Vocational Education and Training (VET)<\/strong> learners<\/li><li><strong>European Solidarity Corps<\/strong> volunteers<\/li><li><strong>School Education<\/strong> pupils and staff<\/li><li><strong>Adult Learning<\/strong> participants and staff<\/li><li><strong>Youth<\/strong> sector participants<\/li><\/ul><h5><strong>What Does the OLS Platform Offer?<\/strong><\/h5><p>OLS provides an interactive, learner-centred environment with tools for every stage of your mobility:<\/p><ol><li><strong>Broad Choice of Languages<\/strong>:<ul><li><strong>24 EU Official Languages<\/strong>: Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Estonian, Spanish, Finnish, French, Irish Gaelic, Croatian, Hungarian, Italian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Maltese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, and Swedish.<\/li><li><strong>5 Additional Programme Country Languages<\/strong>: Icelandic, Macedonian, Norwegian, Serbian, and Turkish.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Language Assessments &amp; Personalised Pathways<\/strong>:<ul><li><strong>Initial Assessment<\/strong>: Before departure, participants take a language proficiency assessment to establish a personalized learning pathway.<\/li><li><strong>Prerequisite for Higher Education<\/strong>: For higher education students on mobilities lasting <strong>14 days or longer<\/strong>, completing the initial assessment before departure is mandatory to ensure host institution language requirements are met (except native speakers or in duly justified cases). <em>Note: Assessment results serve diagnostic purposes and will not prevent you from participating in your mobility.<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Final Progress Assessment<\/strong>: Upon return, an optional final assessment lets you evaluate the progress made during your time abroad.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Flexible &amp; class=\"split-lista__text\"><p>In case you need to modify your Learning Agreement ( i.e. you have to select different classes due to course overlap, timetable changes or other reasons), you have the first two weeks of the semester to make the changes.<\/p><p>Please use the document titled \u201cDuring the Mobility\u201d to request your changes (or use your home university template, if required):<\/p><p>Note: The same principles apply as to the original LA: the document must be typed (no handwritten version is accepted) and you must include course codes.
