Arrival to Zaprešić

We recommend that you arrive a few days before the beginning of the semester so that you have enough time to get familiar with the new environment.

To provide you with all the important information and get to know each other better during the first week of the semester, the Erasmus welcome day will be organized. Further information about this you will receive via email closer to the event.

University Campus

The University of Applied Sciences “Baltazar Zaprešić” has 4 campuses in different cities of Croatia:

Zaprešić: The main campus is in the small town Zaprešić, which is about 3 kilometers from the capital of the country and can be comfortably reached by train or bus from there.

You need to come here during the welcome week, as all offices, including the International Cooperation Office, are located here!

Zagreb: Our second campus is located 20 minutes from Zagreb city center. A significant part of your lessons will be held there for your convenience.
Biogradn a Moru: This campus usually hosts an international summer school organized by the University of Applied Sciences “Baltazar Zaprešić” in partnership with GEA College, Slovenia.
Osijek: Our fourth campus is located in the east of Croatia. You don’t need to travel there since all the courses offered to Erasmus students are taught in Zaprešić or Zagreb.

International Cooperation Office

Your first steps at the campus will lead to the International Cooperation Office, where you will receive your student ID card and all the information you are interested in.

Arrival procedure for EU citizens

All EU citizens staying in Croatia for more than 90 days pursuing their study have to follow this procedure.

Declaration of arrival (within 8 days of arrival)
Registration certificate (within 3 months of arrival)

Arrival procedure for Non-EU citizens

All Non-EU citizens must follow the registration procedure immediately after their arrival to Croatia!

After entering the country you should apply for a residence permit for third-country students with the following documents:

Filled-out Application Form 1a (non-EU citizens).
Original and a copy of a valid personal identification document (preferably passport).
Proof of means of support in the Republic of Croatia.
1 colour photograph (35 x 45 mm).
Proof of health insurance.
Certificate confirming that the applicant has no criminal convictions issued by the authorities of the passport holder’s own country and country of permanent residence.

Late arrival

The latest possible arrival for incoming students is two weeks after the start of the semester.

In case you will not arrive by this date with no explanation in advance, your semester will be cancelled.
