University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić is a higher education institution focused on professional and applicable knowledge. This is precisely why professional practice is a mandatory part of the teaching process for all students of undergraduate and graduate professional studies and specializations.
We want to introduce each student to the business of the organization, business processes and job tasks that correspond to the direction in which the student is studying, as well as to the application of acquired knowledge in practice
University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić offers its students a total of two models of professional practice, which may differ in relation to the direction/study:
Students can choose the organization in which they want to do professional practice in Croatia or in one of the EU member states, or they can apply for practice in organizations with which the Polytechnic has entered into a cooperation agreement.
University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić is the holder of the ERASMUS+ higher education charter. The Erasmus program includes all European and international programs and initiatives of the European Union in the field of education, training, youth and sports. One of the key activities of the Erasmus+ program is the mobility of individuals for learning and training. Thus, our students can do professional practice in almost all the countries of the European Union, with the subsidy of the University of Applied Sciences , and acquire special knowledge for the specific requirements of the labor market of the countries of the European Union.

University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić is a partner institution within the Youth Initiative project, which was launched by the Croatian Association of Employers in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The initiative, whose goal is to develop the skills of young people and prepare them well for the labor market, is supported by companies from the private sector and several professional associations, in order to create work-based learning opportunities (student internships) for students in private companies.
As part of this project, the student internship lasts at least 6 weeks, in accordance with the standards of best practice in the European Union, up to 6 months, with the possibility of year-round engagement of students. During the student internship, each student will receive three tasks: (1) daily tasks in support of the company's core business, (2) a long-term task, a project, which will be carried out independently - the topic of the project is agreed upon by the student and the employer, and (3) a one-day monitoring of a senior management person . Students are also available buddies - mentors, who will be in charge of the students during the internship. Upon completion of the student internship, both students and mentors will be required to submit a report on the student internship - the reports will be available to the public on the Initiative's website.
Students of all majors of the Baltazar Zaprešić Polytechnic will be able to access the portal with the help of their AAI@EduHR password, where they will be able to search for professional internship offers in companies of all sectors and apply for internships directly to employers who will select candidates who best suit the type of job.

In order to access the portal, you need to fill out a form with your data, which will then be entered into the Youth Initiative system. Through your AAI@EduHR login, you will be able to access the "Youth Initiative" portal, where you can find out about the possibilities of obtaining professional practice within the project's partner companies. The employer, after processing the applications and analyzing the applied students, will choose the best candidate for internship.
