Mission and vision

The strategic development plan of the Public Polytechnic Baltazar Zaprešić from Zaprešić for the period from 2021 to 2026 was adopted at the 154th session of the Governing Council of the Public Polytechnic Baltazar Zaprešić from Zaprešić, held on November 23, 2020 (reg. number: 328- 05/2-2020, from November 23, 2020).

Vision:

The vision of the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić is to become an advanced university with recognizable educational programs that empower students for a changing and unpredictable business environment.

Mission:

Misija Veleučilišta Baltazar Zaprešić jest pružiti kvalitetno obrazovanje i podršku studentima u razvoju njihove  karijere  te  kroz  tržišno orijentirane  studijske programe  promicati  nova znanja.  U suradnji  s gospodarstvom,  Veleučilište  omogućuje  studentima  aktivno  uključivanje  na  tržište  rada  te  povezuje studente  i  poslovnu  zajednicu.  Veleučilište  potiče  razvoj  kreativnih  pojedinaca  sposobnih za upravljanje poslovnim procesima koji će doprinositi održivom razvoju društva u cjelini.

Goals:
  • develop a proactive approach in the application of theoretical and empirical achievements to improve business processes
  • to create an atmosphere of ethics, transparency and responsible work for the purpose of achieving long-term sustainable business
  • continuously strive for excellence by providing support for the personal and professional growth and development of all employees and students of the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić
Organizational values:

The educational and research activity of the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić will be based on the following organizational values:

  • quality and striving for excellence and comparison with international quality standards and striving for international accreditation
  • the creativity of the students and teachers of the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić is based on scientific achievements and applied research as well as on the changes and knowledge of modern society, but also of the concrete community in which we operate
  • freedom of academic expression and creative activity in civilizational and humanistic frameworks
  • autonomy and independence from any influence of politics, religion, ideology and capital
  • openness to all changes in the implementation of the program and to other ideas, constructive criticism and alternative conceptions, through encouraging the creative and innovative potential of the institution and environment
  • openness to cooperation with other Croatian and foreign universities on joint projects
